IBC 2012 Recognition for Hilti Code Compliant Mechanical Anchors

Hilti continues our dedication to bringing products to our contracting and engineering partners that meet the latest requirements of the International Building Code (IBC) by obtaining post-installed anchor code listings for IBC 2012. In April 2012, the Hilti HDA Undercut Anchor was one of the first IBC 2012 code compliant mechanical anchors in the industry followed shortly thereafter by the Kwik Bolt TZ Expansion Anchor.

Hilti has completed the task of updating all of the ICC Evaluation Service Reports for the Hilti mechanical anchor portfolio in concrete (in accordance with AC193) to comply with the Strength Design provisions of IBC 2012 and ACI 318-11, Appendix D, with the following newly issued approvals:

• ESR 1545 for the HSL-3 Heavy Duty Expansion Anchor
• ESR 2302 for the Kwik Bolt 3 Expansion Anchor
• ESR 3027 for the Kwik HUS-EZ Screw Anchor, the first screw anchor with the IBC 2012 recognition
