Tested tools can be trusted
Hilti measuring tools are robustly built. Nevertheless, as with all precision instruments, the harsh conditions of everyday jobsite use, inappropriate storage or other external influences may, in time, lead to adverse effects.
Regular inspection
In order to ensure reliability in accordance with standards and statutory requirements, Hilti recommends that laser measuring and detection tools are checked regularly. The Hilti Calibration Service provides confirmation that the tool tested is in conformance with the specifications given in its operating instructions.
When subjected to average use, measuring tools should be checked at least annually. Readjustment, as part of the calibration service, ensures correction of any inaccuracy - your measuring tools function as precisely and as accurately as they did the day they were purchased.
Hilti provides verification of calibration by applying a label to each tool tested.
Confirmation of precision
Written confirmation of accuracy is also provided by Hilti at the time of calibration of the measuring tool. This may be demanded in particular by companies certified in accordance with ISO 900X. The Hilti calibration certificate provides verification, whenever required, of the accuracy of the measuring tool at the time it was tested.

You can also take your laser to a local Hilti Center, where laser calibration tests to check laser accuracy are performed at no charge.
