Hilti introduces five new firestop solutions
The family of innovative Hilti firestop solutions grows even stronger with the addition of five new products - the new CP 643N and CP 644 collars, CP 648S Single Wrap Strip, CP 648E Endless Wrap Strip and CP 682 Cast-In Device. These additions provide customers the latest in Hilti firestop technology to suit their various firestopping needs for penetrating items such as plastic pipe, metal pipe, and cable bundles.
Ready-to-Use CP 643N & CP 644 Firestop Collars
For use in penetrations through fire walls and floors, the CP 643N and CP 644 Firestop Collars come ready-to-use with a galvanized steel housing and intumescent inserts for firestopping combustible plastic pipes. The flexible, cost-effective CP 643N is available to fit pipe sizes ranging from 1-1/2 to 6 inches. In addition to the layer of intumescent material, an integrated foam insert is provided for sizes 3 - 6 inches. The foam insert allows for positive gripping around plastic pipe and aids when installing overhead. The CP 644, available to fit pipe sizes from 8 to 10 inches, is an ideal solution for larger pipes. Both allow quick and easy closure without the use of a tool and feature adjustable position tabs for fastening to wall or floor base material.
CP 648S Single Wrap Strip - Quick & Easy for Tight Installations
The highly intumescent, labor-saving CP 648S Single Wrap Strip is ideal for firestopping combustible pipe penetrations in floors or walls and for difficult applications where space is limited. Available to fit pipe sizes ranging from 1-1/2 to 6 inches, the CP 648S provides a quick and easy installation without tools and without waste. Simply wrap it around plastic pipe, seal it with the integrated fastening tape and slide into the annular space of the wall or floor. In many floor application cases it can be installed from the top side making it fast, convenient, and safe since no ladder would be required.

The CP 648E may be used in the floor or wall substrate when adequate annular space exists or may be used on the outside of the substrate with a field fabricated retaining collar (also available at Hilti). The CP 648E is packaged in 33 foot rolls with convenient measuring charts printed on the package.

The new CP 682 Cast-In Firestop Device, together with the existing CP 680 cast-in device, provides contractors with a one-step installation for firestopping a variety of floor penetrating items. The CP 680, available in three sizes from 2-1/2 to 6 inches, allows one-step firestop solutions for plastic pipes through concrete floors and concrete-over-metal decking. The CP 682, available to fit pipes in a 2-1/2 and 4 inch size, is a cast-in solution that is ideal for penetrating items including metal pipes in floors, insulated metal pipe and cable bundles. Both come ready-to-use and eliminate the need for guesswork. They are economical to use, can be installed quickly, allow for pipe adjustments during installation, and make removing and replacing pipe easy.
